Terms & Conditions

Pitt County Deals is a local business directory and marketplace serving Pitt County and the Greenville, North Carolina area. We help shoppers discover local businesses, deals, and reservations, and we help businesses ("Hosts") get found, take reservations and quote requests, and reach their own customers. Hosts pay us a recurring subscription for access to Platform features; we do not charge shoppers, and we do not take a commission on reservations, quotes, deals, or sales between shoppers and Hosts.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are created and secured through Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google sign-in). You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Accounts are assigned a role - shopper, Host, or admin - which determines what you can do on the Platform.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or infringing content, including fake reviews.
• Attempt to access accounts, listings, or data that aren't yours.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform, or attempt to bypass bot protection.
• Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
• Send marketing messages to customers who have not consented, or ignore opt-out requests.

Browsing the Platform, creating an account, and submitting reservations or quote requests are all free for shoppers. Reservations and quote requests you submit are sent to the relevant Host, who is solely responsible for confirming and fulfilling them. Deals, coupons, and loyalty rewards are offered directly by the Host, on terms the Host sets; redemption and eligibility are between you and that Host. We are not a party to any transaction, agreement, or service arranged between you and a Host - Pitt County Deals is a directory and intermediary, not the seller or provider of any product or service listed on the Platform.

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything they publish. By listing, you agree to:

• Provide truthful business information, photos, hours, pricing, and deal or coupon terms.
• Honor the deals, coupons, loyalty offers, reservations, and quotes you publish or accept.
• Hold any licenses, permits, and insurance required to operate your business.
• Respond to customers and manage reservations and quote requests in good faith.
• Be responsible for the customer records (CRM), loyalty data, and marketing consent you collect and maintain through the Platform, and to only send marketing messages to customers who have opted in and to honor opt-out requests promptly.
• Comply with applicable consumer protection, advertising, and messaging laws (including for email, SMS, and WhatsApp campaigns).

We may review, moderate, pause, or remove any listing or content that violates these Terms or that we consider misleading, unsafe, or inappropriate.

Hosts may subscribe to a paid plan to unlock Platform features (such as featured placement, deals, reservations, loyalty tools, and marketing campaigns). New Host accounts may be eligible for a one-time free trial period, available once per account. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe and automatically renew each billing period until canceled. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan, billing status, and invoices.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period - you keep access to paid features until then, and you will not be charged again after cancellation. Plan features and prices may change, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable. If a subscription is canceled and refunded by an administrator, the plan ends immediately and the most recent charge is refunded in accordance with our refund handling. Free trial periods and comped plans are not eligible for monetary refunds.

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and are limited to customers with a completed reservation or interaction with the Host. You are responsible for the content you post. By posting content (including reviews, messages, photos, and listing content) you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it on the Platform. We may remove content that is fake, abusive, unlawful, or otherwise violates these Terms.

Deals, coupons, and loyalty programs displayed on the Platform are created and controlled by individual Hosts. The terms, availability, redemption process, and value of any deal, coupon, or loyalty reward are set by the Host, and any dispute about them is between you and that Host. We do not guarantee the availability or honoring of any deal, coupon, or loyalty offer.

Hosts on eligible plans may send marketing campaigns (email, SMS, and WhatsApp) to customers who have opted in. Hosts must comply with applicable anti-spam and messaging laws and honor opt-out requests promptly. Shoppers can manage their notification channels and marketing consent from their account at any time. Birthday offers may be sent automatically to customers who have opted in to receive them.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any business, listing, deal, coupon, reservation, or service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pitt County Deals is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any interaction, transaction, or dispute between a shopper and a Host.

You may stop using the Platform at any time and delete your account from your settings; account deletion removes your associated data from the Platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a risk to the community. Terminating a Host account does not entitle the Host to a refund for the current billing period except as described in Section 7.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.
